Alastair is an interior designer, artist, and art historian based in London.

Alastair combines the antique with the contemporary to create timeless spaces. He has a vast knowledge of global textiles, furniture, and art that allows him to create richly layered rooms that are, nevertheless, English at their core. He enjoys working with existing collections and suggesting new pieces to fit a client’s style and space. Alastair’s sympathy towards historic buildings informs his approach when creating calm, lived in spaces that truly reflect the individual. Alastair is keen to help with your project, from design to management.

As part of this process, Alastair studies rooms and architecture through his watercolour sketches. These sketches depict personal encounters and record what influences him most. Since 2020 he has accepted commissions. He has worked on  sizes from A4 to A2.

A graduate of Art History from the Courtauld Institute, Alastair has written extensively about early impressionists like Turner, mid-century design, and the playful work of the Fauves. He continues to write reviews on major exhibitions and interior design.

Alastair also has a vast knowledge of wine and is certified to the Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 3 Award in Wines.
